Not for Commerce, But for Connection
I look for tradition, ritual, nostalgia, stories of home, and the presence of love. I look for creations that stir emotion and hold purpose. Not everything carries it. Not everyone believes it can. But I do. Everything has meaning. Everything has a story.
I once imagined A Day Like This as a time in the future, when my work would center on creating and giving back. I thought I would wait for that day. Then I realized there is no better time than now.
I seek strategic and aesthetic collaborations with artists, brands, and creatives — not for commerce, but for connection and contribution. If you have a concept to test or need strategy without the resources to fund it, I am open to collaboration. I bring the vision, you bring the rest.
I collect paintings from my travels. So I remember the story I lived in and can support the local artists..
When I encounter unique jewelry, I pause. I ask about its origin because I know each piece carries a human story.
I love learning the stories behind cultural traditions and rituals across the world and through life's moments, from birth to love to death. I am captivated by how these rituals evolve yet endure.
Even my "odd superpower" is rooted in story: I have a photographic memory for hair. Meet me once, and weeks later I'll notice if you've had a trim. It's not the hair itself — it's the detail, the change, the story.
Giving Back
Warming Hearts Fund: A charitable giving fund I co-manage with my mother and sister-in-law, dedicated to bringing joy to foster children in my hometown of Black River Falls, Wisconsin.
All proceeds from collaborative efforts of A Day Like This go directly to the Warming Hearts Fund. Collaborators are invited to make a donation to the fund managed by the Black River Area Foundation.
