Influence was always the source.
Ashley Powell studies the economy of influence — the larger system through which people, institutions, industries, places, culture and moments of human transition shape what becomes trusted, desired and possible.
Her perspective was formed across more than two decades in fashion, luxury, entertainment, talent representation, advertising, real estate, retail, entrepreneurship, the creator economy and the global wedding industry.
On paper, those experiences can look unrelated.
They are not.
An early education in how value moves.
Ashley grew up in a large family in a small Midwestern town, surrounded by a hobby farm and a family-owned business before its eventual acquisition.
It was an idyllic upbringing — and an early education in work, enterprise, reputation and the relationships that hold a business together.
The industries changed. Influence did not.
Ashley cast people for advertisements, represented models and actors, worked inside fashion and luxury, sold homes and wedding dresses, and built and acquired businesses.
Each experience offered a different view of the same force: how authority is created, how value travels and why people trust, choose and act.
The creator economy made individual influence commercially visible.
Ashley founded SEA MGMNT as the infrastructure around individual influence was still being formed.
Through more than 1,000 projects connecting talent, brands and audiences, she gained an operating view of the creator economy from inside it — and began to see it as one part of a much larger redistribution of authority.
Then weddings brought the whole system into view.
Inside one life chapter, Ashley could see fashion, media, retail, hospitality, travel, property, finance, religion, family, identity, ritual and commerce converging around the same changing human life.
What looked like separate industries was an interconnected economy of influence.
Influence was always the source.
The creator economy became the bridge.
Life Chapter Marketing™ is a lens.
Bridal remains the laboratory.
Ideas developed through the work — and tested in the room.
Ashley has delivered keynotes, masterclasses and workshops across North America, Europe and the Middle East on the economy of influence, changing systems of authority, human transition and the future of the wedding industry.
The speaking came after the work. The work remains the evidence.
Ashley Powell speaking at Formal Markets

Why weddings?
A wedding is more than an event or purchasing occasion. It is a life chapter — and an unusually concentrated system of influence.
Fashion, media, retail, hospitality, travel, property, finance, religion, family, identity, ritual and commerce all converge around a person whose life is changing.
Inside that ecosystem, Ashley watched creators acquire authority, retailers become cultural translators, international markets move ideas across borders, destinations enter industry narratives and platforms reorganize access to the customer.
Every participant was competing not only with others in its category, but for a share of the same finite chapter of human attention and spending.
The bride was never choosing only between dresses. She was choosing between everything this new chapter invited her to become, experience and buy.
That changed the question from how does one wedding business compete with another? to what else is competing to influence the person undergoing the transition?
Bridal remains the laboratory because weddings make the invisible architecture of influence unusually visible.
Industries study categories. Human lives move between them.
Most market intelligence is organized around products, industries, demographics and purchasing history.
When someone becomes a bride, spouse, parent, homeowner, caregiver or something newly unnamed, they do not enter only one commercial category. They cross several at once.
Identity shifts. Old habits loosen. New authorities, needs and possibilities become relevant.
Businesses organize themselves around what they sell. People make decisions according to what they are becoming.
Life Chapter Marketing™ is Ashley’s framework for understanding how periods of human transition reorganize identity, trust, behavior, relationships and demand.
We don’t only study who people are. We study what happens while they are becoming.

See influence before everyone else knows where to look.
