VOW for Girls

Industry × Human

Company Level

Connecting the influence around weddings to a girl’s right to choose her own.

In 2024, Frost gave VOW for Girls the architecture for a repeatable creator residency, built pro bono and launched with Lauren Ladouceur, known as Plan With Laur, as its first Creator in Residence.

The Question

Could a creator become part of an organization’s mission, rather than another campaign?

What Frost Saw

VOW for Girls had already connected the wedding industry to the movement to end child marriage. Wedding professionals could support the mission through their businesses, and couples could give through their celebrations.

Creators offered something neither could: an ongoing relationship with an audience already thinking about the meaning, traditions and choices surrounding marriage. The question was how to make that relationship last longer than a sponsored post.

The Direction

Give a creator a defined role inside the organization, connecting her community to VOW’s mission and its wedding-industry network.

What Frost Created

Creator in Residence: a residency model through which a creator supports VOW’s mission over a defined term, developed by Frost & Co. pro bono.

The Calls

Four decisions turned creator participation into a role inside the mission.

The Expected Move

Perspective

Most organizations bring creators in through ambassador programs, and the more names they add, the less each one means. A residency works the other way: one creator, one term, one clear role. That scarcity is what gives the title value, to the creator, to the organization and to the audience watching.

For VOW, the fit was unusually direct. The audiences wedding creators reach are exercising one of the most personal choices there is. The residency invited them to protect that choice for girls who don’t yet have it.

What Moved

VOW for Girls launched its first Creator in Residence, with an architecture designed to repeat.

  • An inaugural residency. Lauren Ladouceur, known as Plan With Laur, became VOW’s first Creator in Residence in July 2024, for a six-month term.

  • Influence in every direction. VOW reached Plan With Laur’s audience, VOW Pro’s wedding professionals reached it too, and Lauren gained a distinction that opened its own opportunities.

  • A repeatable architecture. A format any organization can use to give a creator a defined, earned role in place of an ambassador roster.
